Z. Lansang, MD

Dr. Z Lansang is a triple board-certified physician in the fields of Family Medicine, Obesity Medicine, and Aesthetic Medicine. He owns Rejuvenation Medical Spa in Brookings, SD, where he personally performs all aesthetic procedures. After completing his residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, he practiced at Sanford Health in Brookings before transitioning to Avera Comprehensive Weight Management in Sioux Falls, SD, to focus on Obesity Medicine. He completed specialized training in medical aesthetics in Las Vegas in 2022 and passed his Aesthetic Medicine Board Exam in 2024. Dr. Z Lansang is bilingual, fluent in Filipino.

The Journey

My journey into aesthetic medicine commenced during my family medicine residency, where I developed a interest in dermatology while addressing various skin conditions. Although I initially contemplated a dermatology residency, I ultimately opted to integrate my family medicine training with aesthetic medicine. I undertook foundational training in aesthetics prior to completing my residency; however, the demands of my practice at that time limited my ability to offer these services. The COVID pandemic reignited my passion for aesthetic medicine, prompting me to engage in extensive research, education, and training to become a board certified specialist in the field. In 2021, I established Rejuvenation Medical Spa, motivated by a commitment to deliver evidence-based rejuvenation treatments to the Brookings community and its surroundings, leveraging my expertise and dedication.

I also support patients in pre- and post-bariatric care to help them achieve lasting weight loss and manage weight regain.

I assess patients' concerns about acne, pigmentation, aging, and hair loss, creating personalized treatment plans. I am in aesthetic procedures like botulinum and dermal fillers, chemical peels, and microneedling My expertise includes energy-based and laser treatments, as well as PRP for regenerative aesthetics. I also manage business operations, including marketing and staff training.

I provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, in both outpatient and urgent care settings. I diagnose and treat acute and chronic diseases, offer preventive exams, prenatal care, and gynecological services, and perform minor surgical, dermatological, and orthopedic procedures. I also supervise Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and contribute to the education of medical students. My experience spans a wide range of medical services, ensuring holistic care for diverse patient needs.
